2004
Company Polmag Sp. z o.o. was established in 2004, as a modern company, offering innovative technology of magnesium metal casting - the so-called metal of the future.

Six months after the Company`s registration, we have installed the first 125 tonne casting machine made by OSCAR FRECH company, suited to the magnesium alloys processing, and then another, also manufactured by FRECH with a clamping force of 200 tonnes.
The foundation of Polmag was a transfer of machinery, equipment, technology and know-how from the Norwegian foundry Tønsberg Presstøperi.2006
Shortly after starting the first casting machine, the company decided to invest further to boost its production capacity. Next we have purchased three Polish producer`s casting machines, with clamping force of 400 tonne and launched the production with use of multiple cavity molds and casts exceeding production capacity of 125t and 200t machines.

2007
At the end of 2007 machinery park was expanded with another casting machine, an fully automatic FRECH DAM 200F hot-chamber diecasting machine with clamping force of 200 tonne.

The company continues to develop technologies and manufacturing processes. In 2008, test results are obtained and an approval of a special type of coating technology was granted.
The coating is applicable to hardware/building elements that provide a better corrosion resistance than technology used for surface protection of zinc castings.
This cost-effective coating, which was developed jointly with Polmag`s suppliers, is used by the company to this day.
Another important step was the development of powder paint technologies. With one of the Polmag`s suppliers, a special method of passivation and powder coating was developed, which provides a very good adhesion and resistance.
By end of 2008 we also implemented a certified environmental management system ISO 14001.
2009
As a continuos improvement stragety - the company adapted the 5S philosophy, Lean`s Management and started to prepare the system for certification of compliance with ISO/TS 16949 in order to assure its Customers from the automotive industry to fully understand their requirements and adapt to the standards of service.
2010
In 2010, the Company signed an agreement for financial support (more in the section "Support from EU") to cover the development of new technologies. This time, the company focuses on decorative and technical coatings.
Since 2005, the company is constantly working to continuously improving the quality of production, maintenance and development of their suppliers. Currently, company is working on a permanent basis with a selected group of toolmakers in Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia, which jointly developed the optimal and fast way of building molds for casting magnesium.
2011
The year 2011 will open up new investment opportunities the Company, by expanding to new production facilities, further development of technology and machinery, so as to maintain the idea of continuous improvement and better service our Customers.
